Director of Research
Jennifer Laude began her dog research as a member of the Comparative Cognition Laboratory at the University of Kentucky. She received her Master’s Degree from UK in 2011 and plans to finish her PhD in 2014. Despite her wide research interests, most of her research concerns the development of an innovative animal model of decision making in dogs, pigeons and humans that may have important implications for addictive gambling behavior and impulse control. Jen has also worked extensively with performance horses, riding competitively nationally and participating in endurance races. Jen grew up with Akitas, but her current canine partner is a Pomeranian named Giselle.
